Abstract:
»The purpose of this study is to analyze the issue of abuse in K.L Randis Spilled Milk (2013). This writing raises two main issues, namely how does Brooke struggle against abuse and how is abuse experienced by Brooke. The data in this study are taken from the Spilled Milk by K.L Randis. The writer analyzes using feminist literary criticism by Kate Millet’s theory about the power how struggle against abuse and Kathrin Patricelli's theory about types of abuse. Then, the method used in this research is a qualitative research method that presents data analysis in essay format, which is taken from the dialogue in the novel. In this study, the writer found that there were three types of abuse faced by Brooke in K.L Randis' novel Spilled Milk. It was sexual abuse, verbal abuse, and physical abuse. Furthermore, the writer found Brooke struggling with abuse. The struggle tells a psychiatrist and reports it to the police.«
